Sunday I was watching a sports program and had just finished lunch. The phone rang and I figured it was a telemarketer, but happily it was a retailer from California who was trying to learn more about open to buy since she was totally dissatisfied with the consultant she had been using.
She explained that she had to consolidate departments to keep the cost down and now she had to pay additional for support. Even then, she could not make sense of the information that was coming her way.
She was watching a video on YouTube that had been made of my software by someone a very long time ago. So, she called. I was happy to spend time with her and answer her questions. I let her know that our subscription fee was far below what she was paying and there was no charge for support (even on Sunday). It was fun for me to listen as her enthusiasm grew during our conversation.
As we drew to a conclusion, I told her she should go to our web site, myotbplan.com, and go all the way to the bottom and click on “Screens” to see actual screen shots from the program with explanations for each. She informed me that she was already there.
Her next question was, “Is this what your program looks like?” and I explained that what she was looking at was what she would be dealing with if she subscribed. “It’s so simple and straight forward.” she said. I replied that that was our goal in creating the program – simple, affordable and effective.
I was expecting her to let me know that she’d think about it, when she said, “Here’s my credit card information.”
Best Sunday ever!
